Mission Statement
Wheatley Nursery School respects all children as individuals. We provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment which encourages children to value themselves and others by celebrating difference and diversity.
Our children will take with them a strong set of practical, educational, social and emotional life skills and a sense of personal achievement and pride in their school and community.
We will do this by:
Staff will get to know children, find out how they learn best and adapt the curriculum to maximise their early learning experiences to provide foundations for life.
Governors will respond to national research and monitor and strategically plan for school development responding to the needs of the cohorts.
Parents will work in collaboration with the Nursery to support and develop their children as early learners in school and at home. Pupils will show enthusiasm and a love of learning and build strong relationships with staff and peers.
We are a welcoming and inclusive school.
Governors, staff and families are committed to working together to provide a high quality approach to education and care for young children. We believe every child matters and strive to provide rich experiences that support each child’s unique development based on early childhood principles.
