We became a federated governing body between Wheatley Nursery School and John Watson School in June 2014

The purpose of the governing body is to:

• Ensure clarity of vision,ethos and strategic direction.
• Hold the headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils.
• Oversee the financial performance of the school and make sure that money is well spent.
• To achieve this the governing body meets each term as well as holding regular committee and strategic group meetings.

In addition we hold Governor Days when we all come together to focus on a particular aspect of the schools. Governors also make regular individual visits to both schools.

Public minutes of the meetings are available on request from the school office.
